About Mat

Operations leader
who builds systems
and enables teams.

I’m Mat Hager, an aerospace engineering graduate and former nuclear-qualified submarine officer. I’ve spent my career helping people and processes perform at their best.

I’ve planned submarine missions, taught crews to execute as a team, rebuilt manufacturing processes, and built and led teams. I’ve led AI adoption by building tools, processes, and training that help people use AI well.

Looking for leadership or Chief of Staff roles in operations, AI enablement, and adoption.

    Agent-assisted delivery

Skills and tools for planning, building, reviewing, and handing over work with AI agents. A repeatable way to keep decisions, checks, and context with the work.

  3. The Load Line Method

    Published

    Managing knowledge work

A method for managing work when agents can produce more than a person can carefully judge. Judgment is the limit, and the method keeps review capacity and commitments in balance. It will keep improving.
